About me

Matt Schellig CEC, CEPC, CCE, CCA, AAC is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. He is the former owner of the much-loved Aunt Olive’s Good Food 2Go. His realm of Chef experience has found him in the kitchens of well-known restaurants such as Rattlesnake Club, Shiraz, A Matter of Taste, Duet, Zazios and No.VI Chophouse, to name a few.

Chef Schellig decided, in early 2012, to focus all his energies and expertise toward his students and became an instructor at the Dorsey Roseville campus. Shortly thereafter, Chef Schellig was named the catering manager. From Catering Manager, his vision grew and evolved leading him to take on a more inspirational role as Associate Director in 2015, and then Director in 2018.

Chef Schellig continues to inspire the many future chefs and other hospitality business professionals, in his director role and as a partner with the World Food Safety Organization (WFSO)

Additionally chef has 2 bronze international medals including the Culinary World Cup and dozens of ACF competition medals including Five gold medals. The local ACF chapter (MCCA) has recognized his contributions as the “Chef Educator of the Year” in 2018 and in 2019 he was awarded the prestigious “Chef of the Year” award by the MCCA chapter. In 2022 Chef Matt competed for the National Chef of the Year, where he was awarded the “Central Regional” championship and second overall nationally.

He’s as comfortable and flexible at creating any menu as he is at creating financially sound solutions to business opportunities. Additionally, his leadership and energy are as inspiring and motivating as his food is delicious.
